AgReliant Genetics Names New CEO

The board of directors for AgReliant Genetics, an industry-leading agricultural company dedicated to the research, production and sale of corn, soybeans and other seeds across North America, has named Paul Nselel as CEO and president, effective immediately. Nselel brings a breadth of leadership and operational experience to the genetic provider.

“This is an exciting time for AgReliant Genetics as we push toward our promising future to provide unique, agronomically superior products to our farmer, dealer and grower partners,” said Alexander Drotschmann, chairman of AgReliant Genetics and head of business unit corn and oil crops at parent company KWS of Germany. “We are delighted to welcome Paul to the team. His extensive experience in the industry coupled with his ever-escalating drive for business success are ideally suited to accelerate our unique germplasm development and positively impact farmers across North America.”

Nselel began his career in the agriculture industry with Monsanto where he held a number of commercial and strategy leadership positions in Eastern Europe and North America. Immediately following his time with Monsanto, he was appointed vice president and global general manager of Agrofresh Solutions, a Nasdaq-traded Agri-food company, where he led all commercial and technical teams on AgroFresh 60+ countries’ global footprint.

Nselel also spent several years in banking with companies Paribas in Europe and Lehman Brothers in New York before spending six years with Nike in strategic planning.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from Universite de Poitiers-France, a master’s degree in applied math from Universite de Caen-France and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
