Mobile-First CLAAS FARMPOINT Dealership Opens in Western Kentucky

CLAAS of America announces the opening of the first of two CLAAS FARMPOINT dealerships that employ a groundbreaking new approach to parts and service for CLAAS customers. The first of the new dealerships officially opened in Madisonville, KY, in early June.

The Madisonville CLAAS FARMPOINT dealership is a mobile-first parts and service hub serving the area’s farmers and creating a new on-farm experience for customers for whom traditional dealerships increasingly fall short on equipment service.

With CLAAS connect, Remote Service, and the On Your Farm Parts program, customers can now experience new levels of productivity in the field. These technology-driven solutions for securing parts, providing equipment service and monitoring are exclusive to the CLAAS FARMPOINT dealership model. The Madisonville facility is the company’s first FARMPOINT dealership in the U.S. that will serve as the local hub for these innovative services that contribute to minimized downtime and service costs for CLAAS customers.

“CLAAS FARMPOINT is a new concept that replaces conventional brick-and-mortar dealerships. Our parts and service will go to where our customers are. With Remote Service, technicians can respond to equipment alerts immediately, offer quick solutions and provide what’s necessary to minimize fieldwork disruptions. And CLAAS connect provides quick digital access to all important equipment data and the parts they need,” said CLAAS Head of Commercial Development Patricio Frangella. “CLAAS FARMPOINT is a win-win situation that really helps our customers maximize run time in the field because we know that downtime costs them money.”

A second CLAAS FARMPOINT facility will open later this summer in Kokomo, IN. Both dealerships will help ensure customers have quick access to the parts and service they need, especially given their relative proximity to the CLAAS North American Parts Headquarters – the company’s 170,000-square-foot distribution center with more than 60,000 parts in stock – in Columbus, IN.

“The whole goal is to be able to respond quicker and deliver more value to growers in the region,” said Jeff Tilden, CLAAS North America Vice President, Parts. “We aim to make the CLAAS ownership experience premier in the industry.”

Both CLAAS FARMPOINT dealerships opening this summer will start at temporary locations, with construction beginning soon on state-of-the-art permanent facilities.
